Over the last few weeks, we made some progress on Dylan’s Supra.
Rudeboy got to work on cutting up four unique sections of the frame and re-welding them with fresh sheet metal to enhance the ground clearance profoundly. Cole came by and leant a had applying wax to all the freshly finished sections, a trick he’d learned while working on his Silvia restoration.
A few weeks after the frame chop was finished, it was finally time for Dylan to get the headers installed and for Reid to fabricate a fully custom exhaust for the car, including his signature rear subframe pass-thru. The combination of custom exhaust and raised frame is the final piece of the puzzle to getting Dylan’s car the maximum amount of ground clearance possible despite its dramatically lowered form.
