The team at Checkpoint Japan is ecstatic to announce our fourth annual Pop-Up Shop will be taking place on August 17, 2024! The event will be held at the Lordco Head Office – 1525 Kingsway Ave in Port Coquitlam, BC from 6:00 PM PST.

If you’re able to make it out, we would love to see you! I’ll go more into the details for this year’s event later on in this article, but first I’d like to take the time to reflect on the previous pop-up shops we’ve hosted and talk about just how precious these events are to us.
The annual pop-up shop event is one of my favourite days of the year. For the last 3 years it’s been our opportunity to bring all of our friends (at least the ones that live within driving distance) together with a whole bunch of cool cars and enjoy catching up, or meet new people, all while getting to shop the various goods and trinkets that we’ve acquired over the past year.
In the midst of having a ton of fun, there seems to always be a point in the night where we wonder what we’re going to do next year, and a worry that we might not be able to top this. However, each year we manage to surprise ourselves with how much the event has grown compared to the last. After each subsequent pop-up shop being greater than the last, we were confident that we would be able to come up with something that would make us wonder how we managed to make the event bigger and better yet again – and somehow we did!
Our partnership with Lordco this year has opened so many doors for us and we are beyond grateful for all of their support. They have been so generous to let us use their headquarters to host our event, providing tons of space to jam pack full of some of our favourite cars.
As we continue preparations and getting everything ready, the excitement is really starting to build up. We look forward to another great event this year and, hopefully, we will see you there!
