This week we gave our Toyota Alphard van some love in the form of fresh new 20-inch Work LSI 507 wheels. These 20×8.5 wheels were definitely the biggest and heaviest wheels I’ve ever handled, but our beloved workhorse deserved some shiny new shoes. The end result looked so much better than any of us anticipated and we feel that this is exactly what the van needed.
Given the size, they do rub a little bit, but there’s nothing that a fender liner delete can’t fix. Plus, it’s worth it for this new luxurious look. We also imported a front lip for the Alphard, it will need some fiberglass repair but will take our sweet, simple van to a new level of cool once that’s installed. Lastly, we got the headlights polished by Tyler at Malone Auto Spa which made the van look fresh off the Toyota lot in 2003 again and gave it some new life.
Dylan had an eventful weekend, including some quick paintless dent repair on his Celica Supra to take care of a few spots. We also did some home improvement at the shop and built a shelf to house our mountain of VHS tapes that Dylan has been collecting. Then he upgraded some of the plastic components on his Yamaha Jog scooter to get it ready for scooter cruising in the summer. Later on, he paid a visit to our friend Taylor and his yard full of cool cars that were saved from being crushed at the scrap yard.
Lastly, Alex said goodbye to his Nissan S14 which went to a new home a few weeks ago. It was sad to see this car go, but we know that he’ll be back in something better than ever very soon.
